Croatian Reproducibility and Integrity Network (CroRIN)
The Croatian Reproducibility and Integrity Network (CroRIN) is a scientific association whose aim is to raise awareness and knowledge on the importance of sharing research data and making scientific research reproducible, to educate researchers in and raising awareness of research integrity, and increase international collaboration with relevant institutions (universities, research institutes, associations).
As there is currently no comprehensive initiative focused on issues related to the reproducibility of research results in Croatia, we intended to create an online environment where interested parties could learn more about reproducibility in science and research integrity, ask questions, and collect materials.
Similar initiatives exist in other countries (https://www.ukrn.org/international-networks/) and we have already begun collaborating with them through projects and scientific studies.
The aim of this website is to gather experts from various disciplines, facilitate the exchange of ideas, but also promote different initiatives that are vital to the research culture.
Our goals are to increase transparency and objectivity in all scientific disciplines, to conduct research on problems related to reproducibility, to connect individuals with an interest in the reproducibility of scientific research, to investigate factors which contribute towards creating quality science, and to promote responsible science. The main indicators of our success will be a growing number of members, our output of scientific publications, the number of promotional activities related to the association, and examples of good research practices.
